A Case of Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis Induced by Methazolamide Treatment
Park Joo-Hee

Park Kyung-Hee
Abstract
Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) is a rare, life-threatening, drug-induced cutaneous reaction which presents dramatic, unforgettable manifestations. While the characteristic features of the disease are well known universally, many health professionals have not seen a case of TEN which may result in delay in recognition and treatment. We report a case of a 50-year-old male patient who developed TEN after taking methazolamide (150 mg/day) for treatment of secondary glaucoma and we give a brief review of the literature.
